Happy Chickens

Everything around me is dying. Literally! My favorite tree has ZERO leaves, and the grass is slowly fading from a brilliant green, to a brilliant tan, which soon will be  grey. FOR 6 MONTHS STRAIGHT! I am finding it beautiful and gearing up mentally for the winter. Spending as much time outside as I can. I put the kids to work putting bulbs in the ground.  I was told I can keep putting bulbs in until the ground freezes. So I am on on a mission to plant what I can a little bit every day, and hope that damn hound dog wont frigging dig them up.
She is amazing by the way. Love her.  We have been out doors every day.
I started to build a hearth and sitting area around my 'Burning Can'. Farmer's wife donated a ton of red bricks over the summer. I have been hauling them onto a wagon and pulling them out to back field and making a little seating area to have our winter fires!  I am famous for sitting out at the fire while sleet and snow build up on my shoulders and hat! I love it.
I can't wait  until the spring when everything starts blooming. Look at me waiting for spring already, I'm soo setting myself up for a looong winter.. UUGH!! I better have lots of visitors this year!!!
My lover has been working like a dog..which is AWESOME for an industry that is slowly gaining momentum back to the gleam it used to carry. Thank you sweets. I love working, but we all know I can't take a job while he has a job. We prefer to take care of our own children. No nannies allowed!!! Not in the living freelance budget!
I am saving all of the indoor projects for the snow days. There is a lot of painting to be done. I imagine that I will be half brain dead since I probably wont be able to open a window due to the below  O temp  out doors. Is it bad to be thankful for global warming and warm winters?
I'm always doing things backwards!!

I have been writing reviews for an  Indianapolis music magazine called http://zaptownmag.com/
It's been fun. It was started by my husbands childhood friend Yuri Duncan and Andrew Duncan. The two of them together started the site over a year ago and have generated over 100,000 hits a month! WOW!! That is huge. I am so impressed and thankful to be able to relive my youth while reviewing shows and actually being able to call my self a music critic. Although it's impossible for me to write anything bad about anybody....except for spoiled Disney Starlets.  So thank you Yuri and Andrew for publishing my babble, about music! I'm loving it!
Matt and I are in the middle of producing an instructional video for miniature horse training. Maggie and Larry Hess who are 2 of the most intelligent people I have ever met are the brains behind the training techniques. I wont get into this to much until we are closer to launching but it's coming along great! I'm wishing for better recording equipment for Christmas, I smell a series coming on. I helped Maggie start a blog revolving around the dog rescue center they run. They rehabilitate abused rescued dogs. The work they do is phenomenal and thankless. They deserve a ton of recognition for what they do so please visit Maggie's site and click on an ad once a day. It will help the hundreds of animals they save from death, train and find homes for every  year!! They are amazing and we are so proud to work with them!
http://maggiesdoggodstories.blogspot.com/ Go in click on an ad and go read what they are doing! AMAZING!
I've been so busy with the kiddios personal writing time is out. I am so bored with all of my projects. I finally found a new illustrator for my story book. I am so exited to work with her.
Ok so I've totally been bloggin wrong!!! I've always known this, and admitted it in my earlier entries. I finally started checking out other blogs on the world wide web and can't believe what I am reading! Most of all I can't believe I haven't jumped on the blog train!!
OMG Loving it!!! I love the vodka mom! Totally cracks me up!

I walked into my favorite Vietnamese restaurant and store yesterday to get some ingredients to make my own beloved Pho and the owner started pointing at me and started speaking to a friend in the store in her Vietnamese language. Then she looked at me and said. "I tell him about you... I say you have  happy chickens!" Looks like this spring she and I may be in business.  Off to hunt for some Iris bulbs this morning!!
